Simple Practices to Bring Retreat Energy Home

After days immersed in nature’s rhythm, waking up to the sound of the jungle and feeling a deeper connection with your true self it’s natural to want to hold on to that sense of peace and connection that comes alive at Toji.

During our retreats, our guests learn about organic farming and permaculture, exploring how every element of the ecosystem is interconnected and are encouraged to engage in deeper inner work, guided by practices of presence and mindfulness, and connect with indigenous Costa Rican wisdom that teaches respect, reciprocity, and harmony with the Earth.

When you return home, the retreat doesn’t have to end. Here are a few simple ways to bring that same energy into your everyday life:

🌱 Grow something.

Even a few herbs on your balcony can help you stay connected to the cycles of life. Watch them grow, nurture them and use them with intention in your meals.

☀️ Start your mornings mindfully.

Take a few quiet moments before your day begins, breathe deeply, step outside, feel the sun and express gratitude for what’s around you.

💧 Live with awareness.

Use water, energy and food with care. Every small action towards sustainability is an act of respect for the Earth.

💚 Stay in community.

Connection is healing. Find or create spaces where people gather to share, learn and grow.

Our retreats are not just a destination; they’re a way of living. Each seed you plant, each mindful breath you take, and each act of kindness you share continues the regenerative ripple that began here in Costa Rica.
