Jay Webb
Jay is the founder and owner of Toji Nature Retreat and a businessman who is passionate about innovative circular business models and their ability to create long term profits, positive environmental impact, and increased fulfillment and quality of life for all human stakeholders. Toji Nature Retreat is at the center of a community that Jay and his team are developing as a model community for what Jay calls ‘OG capitalism’. This set of business ideals is meant to evolve over time, but are all economic principles that have been derived from the honed processes of natural ecosystems. The community development plan incorporates natural elements, small business interactions, and residential activities into one symbiotic ecosystem that can serve as a replicable model of a more sustainable and less wasteful approach to capitalism.
As a serial entrepreneur for 20+ years, Jay has naturally gravitated toward businesses that aligned with his personal passions: film production, adventure tourism, home building, 3D applications and even co-creating science graphic novels. Through his personal and business journeys, Jay, like many others, witnessed a recurring theme that our economic system and its emphasis on short term profits was putting our planet and its inhabitants in danger at an alarming rate. Also similar to others, Jay wasn’t sure where to begin in making realistic, but meaningful changes in his business or life. With Toji Nature Retreat and the surrounding Dos Colinas Community, Jay and his team have created that starting point for realistic change; a place where individuals and businesses of all sizes can come to observe, reflect, and transform their practices.
